Colleen Power was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She remained there until 1985 when she moved to Kansas City, Mo to go to Rockhurst College. She lived in the dorm for 2 years and then completed her 3rd year in France. She returned to Kansas City, but not Rockhurst. She lived in several apartments in Midtown and eventually completed school at Park University. She worked at Kristen's Sandwich Shop located adjacent to Kelly's bar in Westport. She currently lives north of the river in the Carriage Hills neighborhood.

Cecil H. Simons was born in a log cabin in Lindy, Missouri on January 24, 1921. Lindy, Missouri was a small town (that no longer exists) in New Madrid county in the bootheel of the state. At a young age his family moved to Amboy, Lee County, Illinois. Cecil served in World War II as a radio operator and mechanic with the 89th Fighter Squadron, the 25th Fighter Squadron, and the 27th Troop Carrier Squadron. Cecil flew in 187 combat missions, mostly in China, and was discharged as a staff sergeant in June, 1945. Cecil has a son, grandson and granddaughter.
Cathy Betz was born in Grundy County, MO and has lived in Liberty, MO for the past 25 years. She has a Master's degree in Library and Information Services and a Specialist degree in Education Administration. She taught 37 years in Kansas City area public schools districts including Kearney, Liberty and Raytown, where she was a teacher, library media specialist, and district library coordinator. Cathy is currently working in a public library setting.
