Sue Thompson was born in Merriam, Kansas and moved to Kansas City, Kansas after she married her husband, Chuck. They raised two boys together and Sue spent many years volunteering for the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library, the Bar Association Auxiliary as well as other Wyandotte County organizations. After the tragic death of her husband, she returned to Johnson County to care for her father.
Lawrence Abdalla was born in Kansas City, Missouri and later moved to Kansas City, Kansas where he graduated from Wyandotte High School. He studied engineering at Kettering University and worked for several years at General Motors. After taking an early retirement, he became a successful boxing coach.
Pat Gaunce worked for USD 500 and Kansas City, Kansas Public Libraries for more than 40 years. She served as the branch manager of the West Wyandotte and F.L. Schlagle branches and was instrumental in the founding of both. A lifelong Kansas City, Kansas resident, Pat is an active volunteer in the community. She is a cancer survivor and is dedicated to promoting healthcare and wellness in Wyandotte County.
Karen Baiers was born in Watervliet, Michigan. She grew up on the farm, then moved to Kansas City in 1968 after graduating from Michigan State University.
Flo Biehl was born in 1930, at home on the family farm near Burns, KS, on the edge of the Flint Hills. She lived and attended public schools there until she enrolled at Kansas State University at the young age of seventeen. After graduation, she taught high school Home Economics in a number of Kansas schools before marrying and raising a family. Moving with her husband and sons to Olathe in the early 1960s, she participated in K-State Research and Extension programming, particularly clothing construction and the tailoring classes.

Gail "Randy" Randall Thompson, Jr. was born in Bakersfield, CA. At the age of two, his family moved to Kansas City, MO where his folks bought at house South of Waldo at 97th and Warnall. He attended Boone Elementary School and then Center Junior High School. His family later moved to the Westbook neighborhood of Overland Park, KS where he attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School. This interview covers the schools he attended, neighborhoods he lived in, his memory of the JFK assasination, and his first job.
